Policies & Publications  »  Safeguarding

At Park PRU, safeguarding is paramount.  We ensure that everyone working in our school has successfully completed the necessary clearances to enable them to work with children.  We have staff members who are specifically trained as Designated Safeguarding Officers within school.

These staff are currently:
Designated Safeguarding Lead:
Miss Ratcliffe (Headteacher)
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads:
Mr Kiss (Deputy Headteacher)
PC Whiteley-Guest (Safer Schools officer and safeguarding governor)
Mrs Robinson (School Business Manager) - Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads.

The school also follows Bradford Child Protection Procedures and the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board local guidance and has systems in place to share concerns regarding children’s welfare with our DSL and DDSLs, with parents/carers and with relevant external agencies. Part of our legal responsibility to safeguard, may also include us needing to consult specifically with and take advice from, the Police or Children’s Social Care, should the need arise.

By working closely together as a staff, parents/carers and with our partner agencies, we firmly believe that we offer a safe learning environment for all our children.

Please contact school should you have any safeguarding concerns.
